As you may know, I'm a huge fan of the basic tee. Who isn't? They are so wearable, comfortable and go with EVERYTHING. Style them up with an adorned necklace or style them down with a pair of jeans. Whatever your style, they are a must have. And if they are so important in our wardrobes why do we skimp out on them...?
I've heard from a lot of people to just get your "basic tees" at the GAP, but if you are going to be wearing your basic tee all the time and as a transition piece, wouldn't you want something that you're going to feel comfortable in? Why not spend that little bit of extra money on your staple items and leave a bit less money for the "trends" department. Trends fade anway, don't they? I know I like to spend a little bit more money on my basics to make sure that they fit well and are higher quality items that will last and last multiple times in the wash. And by a bit more money, I'm not saying go crazy expensive! I'm just saying instead of going for the "three weird fitting tees for thirty dollars" sale; get ONE thirty dollar tee that you will be able to wear over and over again. One quality shirt will outlast the cheaper ones and so you will actually be spending LESS money on your clothing.
Good news for the ladies on a budget: Spring + Summer 2015 is allowing us to dress a bit more relaxed and comfortable so WE CAN go back to the basics.
SO LADIES, take pride in what you wear and let's go back to basics!
